CHAI TEA

INGREDIENTS

 

3 cups of water

5 green cardamon pods, crushed

1 cinnamon stick

3 pieces of star anise

2 tsp of fennel seeds

1/4 tsp of nutmeg

1 tbsp of fresh ginger

1 tbsp of whole cloves

8 black peppercorns

1 1/2 cup of almond milk

6 tsp of assam tea

2 tbsp honey 

METHOD

 

  • Place the water and spices in a medium saucepan and bring to the boil.

  • Add the almond milk and return the liquid to a boil.

  • Add the tea and simmer for 2 minutes.

  • Strain the mixture and add honey to taste.

  • Serve with a cinnamon stick or star anise and enjoy!
